Fatman Scoop Cause of Death Confirmed After Collapsing on Stage

US rapper Fatman Scoop, famous for his booming voice and club anthems, tragically passed away due to heart disease, authorities have confirmed. The 56-year-old artist, whose real name was Isaac Freeman III, collapsed during a live performance in Connecticut on August 30th and later died in the hospital.

According to a spokesperson from the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Fatman Scoop’s death was attributed to hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with his passing ruled as natural.

Fatman Scoop rose internationally with his 2003 UK number-one hit “Be Faithful.” Throughout his career, he collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Timbaland, Missy Elliott, David Guetta, and Skrillex. He also appeared on the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother in 2015, further cementing his place in pop culture.

His family described him as “the undisputed voice of the club” and issued a heartfelt statement following his untimely death: “Fatman Scoop was not just a world-class performer, he was a father, brother, uncle, and friend. His joy was infectious, and the generosity he extended to all will be deeply missed but never forgotten.”

Fatman Scoop’s passing marks a sad moment for the global hip-hop community and his many fans, who remember him as a source of energy, laughter, and strength both on and off stage.
